Necessary for installation of exhaust manifolds, turbocharger, downpipe, exhaust system components and other auto parts as well. Thick copper overlay ensures that the nuts do not rust even at very high temperatures. The cut, as seen in the picture, prevents unauthorised twisting off of the nut.
